A medical council of India has recommended the all specialized Post Graduate Course be made uniform with the curriculum revised periodically depending on new developments in the field.

Number of publications and research accomplishment will be taken into account for accelerated promotion of medical teaching professionals Self-learning by distance education taking advantage of online course will be encouraged.

MCI plans to develop an electronic recourse library for use by all physicians at their reasonable post.

A collaborative protocol between medical institutions in remote areas and well equipped city centers encouraged to promote research.

MCI emphasizes the great need of the medical fraternity to participate regularly in the continuing Medical Education Programmers of its accredited organizations.

MCI stipulates that the durations of training should be uniform: Diplomas (2years), Degrees (3years), DW/MCH (3years) and Post-DW fellowship (2years).
